ANTHONY M. VIENNA practices tax and business law in Los Angeles, California. He is a 1969 graduate of the University of Southern California School of Law where he received a Juris Doctorate Degree. He was admitted to the California State Bar immediately following graduation from law school and has practiced as a tax and general business lawyer ever since. He was formerly Secretary of the Legislative Steering Committee and Chairman of the Los Angeles County Bar Taxation Section and the Editor of its Taxation Section Newsletter. Mr. Vienna is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant and practiced as an accountant for two years.  He is also a former Revenue Agent and Estate Tax Examiner for the Internal Revenue Service.  He has had a variety of experiences in public accounting and private law practice. He has written extensively in the general field of taxation and employee benefits, and has been a lecturer in the Masters of Business Taxation Program of the U.S.C. Graduate School of Business, a lecturer for American Management Association, a speaker for the U.S.C. Tax Institute and a speaker before various professional and business associations.

Mr. Vienna's practice has historically covered a wide range of domestic taxation matters affecting business clients, including mergers and acquisitions  as well as corporate reorganizations, structuring of new ventures, corporate dissolutions, and other general business taxation issues. He also has extensive experience with deferred compensation, executive compensation, and employee benefit plans, including incentive stock options, non-qualified options, phantom stock and SAR Plans, and a wide variety of non-qualified deferred compensation arrangements. He also performs estate planning services for his clients, including establishing and maintaining irrevocable life insurance trusts, charitable remainder trusts and other sophisticated estate planning strategies. In conjunction with his transactional background, he has been involved in numerous leveraged ESOP transactions as well.  The focus of Mr. Vienna's practice for the last several years has been to provide a fully integrated tax and legal perspective to clients dealing with business continuity and/or equity transitions. His experience in the wide array of tax, ERISA, financing and corporate law issues affecting business enterprises uniquely positions him to offer cost effective, comprehensive and creative solutions to business issues confronting clients who are endeavoring to establish long term strategic plans for their companies.
